Many authors that we speak with have submitted their works to large publishers and have been rejected while others thought theirs wasn't quite good enough to submit and didn't even bother. Most of the time the story is fantastic, but the author didn't submit the work in the right format, didn't follow the submission guidelines or submitted work to a publisher who was not taking new authors at that time. In our experience it was not bad stories that were rejected, but authors not understanding the industry guidelines. Even those that are submitted properly go in the hoper with the other multitudes of stories and have a slim chance in being published.
